Overview

​

The GPC system is a cutting-edge Pile Driving Analysis (PDA) system by Piletest. It is designed for both Dynamic Load Testing (DLT) and Pile Driving Monitoring, based on the High Strain Dynamic Load Test method, also referred to as the PDA test.

This system not only monitors the pile-driving installation but also evaluates shaft integrity, driving stresses, and hammer energy. The GPC PDA system ensures reliable and accurate results in compliance with ASTM D4945 and EN ISO-22477-4 standards for dynamic pile testing.

How the PDA Test Works

The PDA test uses a hammer to drive either pilot or production piles, taking advantage of the high-strain impact while measuring the pile with an accelerometer and a strain gauge. The test captures critical data on pile performance, including shaft resistance and toe bearing capacity. In cases where a driving hammer is unavailable, a drop weight can be used for the test. Re-strike PDA tests are often recommended for better insights into pile behavior.

N_GAPA: Signal Matching Software for Pile Load Analysis

The N_GAPA software complements the GPC system by providing detailed pile load analysis and signal matching. It estimates the total bearing capacity of a pile, as well as the distribution of resistance along the shaft and at the toe.
