Introducing Integrated Google Maps into PET!
We're excited to announce a new feature: integrated Google Maps location for your tested piles! You can visually connect your crucial data to its real-world location for enhanced clarity and confidence.
See your project come alive on an interactive map, allowing you to:
Visualize your entire project spatially.
Quickly pinpoint specific pile locations.
Improve site management and team collaboration.
Enhance reporting with clear visual context.
This feature is driven by our commitment to data integrity through geotagging. Embedding geographical coordinates offers significant benefits:
Enhanced accuracy by directly linking tests to precise GPS.
Improved traceability with a clear location audit trail.
Deeper contextual understanding by visualizing data within its environment.
A more substantial legal data integrity proof that you have visited the site
By integrating geolocation, we provide a more robust and verifiable record of your testing data, empowering you with a comprehensive understanding of your results.
How is that done?
When testing 1) using the Bluetooth PET. 2) using the Android app, and 3) if the device's GPS is open. The PET app will automatically record the GPS location (of the device) on each tested pile.
When importing to Windows, click the location icon to see the project on map:

Since this is a Google map, you can switch to satellite view:

Or even switch to Street View using the yellow man icon:

Notes
Click on any pile on the map to open it
The GPS location accuracy is typically not better than ~3m
The GPS location is the location of the phone/tablet and not the PET sensor or the pile
Google Maps and Street View are typically not updated for new construction sites
